Link Susan G. Komen vs. Planned Parenthood

Well, there you have it. As if the services provided by Planned Parenthood were not already in enough peril now this gets thrown in the mix. This isn’t making me like the whole uber pink Susan G. Komen foundation any more than I already didn’t. I realize they do a lot of good for a lot of women, but so does Planned Parenthood. It’s time to take this whole pro-choice/not pro-choice issue out of the debate for a bit. What about all the other services that Planned Parenthood provides which can actually save women’s lives? It’s where I went when I first found a lump in my breast and if it wasn’t for their accessibility (as I had no health insurance) and the nurse practitioner’s quick thinking who knows what might have happened. I needed a place to turn since I couldn’t possibly have afforded to go any place else. Planned Parenthood needs that money to keep saving other people too. Boooooo on halting their funds.
